SeComm

Suppliers of all sizes and regardless of the type of products or services they supply, are increasingly being asked to trade electronically with their customers. Compounding this requirement, is that each different customer seems to have a different system requiring organisations to accept different order formats and provide complicated electronic catalogue information.

SeComm (Smart Supplier and SeComm are subject to Australian Provisional Patent Application PR7947 applied for on September 27 2001, International Patent Application Rights Reserved) is a very affordable supplier enablement solution that allows suppliers to trade with all of their customers who want to trade electronically.

SeComm is designed for suppliers that don’t want or need a supplier enablement solution that is interfaced or integrated with their existing back office accounting and order entry system. Suppliers who want an integrated solution need Smart Supplier.

SeComm is a very easy to use, standalone MS-Windows application that is downloaded from the Internet and installed on  a PC. A PC running Windows 95 or later, an email account and access to the internet is all that is required.

SeComm is ideal for all suppliers because it:

  • Enables suppliers to work offline to process customer orders and manage customers catalogue content. It is not dependent on permanent or fast internet connections which can be very expensive.

  • Supports all the electronic trading documents and transactions required by customers, including customer specific electronic catalogues.

  • Is a thin-client application that will not impact the performance of an existing PC or alter its existing settings in any way and which wont need  a PC specialist to install or use SeComm.

  • Is very affordably priced so that all suppliers can trade electronically with their customers.

SeComm can easily:

  • Provide customers with electronic catalogue content in their required formats.
    üIt supports customer specific pricing
üIt easily allows catalogue content to be enhanced with any specific customer requirements such as:

    §         Images

    §         URL's

    §         HAZCHEM data sheets

    §         Additional product data

    §         UNSPSC / eCLASS

    §         Parametric details

    §        Attachments

üIt allows easy publishing of part catalogues for customers who do not require a full product range.

  • Receive and print customers’ orders.

  • Transmit back to customers in their nominated document type and format, any electronic trading documents including, order acknowledgments (ACK’s), change orders (CO’s), advance shipping notices (ASN’s) and very importantly, electronic invoices.
